It has come to my attention [ows..nosebleed!] that some [ehem..Arwin] members do not know how to place personalized signatures and avatars such as their own pictures etc.
Here is a basic tutorial about 'em:
--Avatars--
You can either:
-Choose from the selection given at the Modify Profile page
-Upload your own pictures using file hosting websites such as Photobucket and Imageshack. Both are good file hosts. The only difference is, in photobucket, you are required to sign up for an account to be able to use their services, while the latter, they do not require it. Also, both sites are free.
-After uploading them, copy paste the url that is directly linked to the image. [http://blahblah.com/imgxxxx etc..]
--Signatures--
You can either:
-Choose from the selection given at the Modify Profile page
-Upload your own pictures using file hosting websites such as Photobucket and Imageshack. Both are good file hosts. The only difference is, in photobucket, you are required to sign up for an account to be able to use their services, while the latter, they do not require it. Also, both sites are free.
-After uploading them, type the BBcode [Bulletin Board Code]![]()
on the space provided for the signature. link refers to the url of your image. Note: The BBcodes are NOT case sensitive.
-If you want your signature to direct a user to your site when clicked, you can do this:
If your signature is a text:
Example:
Multiplied Potato
If your signature is an image:
Example:
*Place your mouse [not literally!] on the example image to see what I mean. :3*
But of course, these are optional. You can just post the images or text if you want. =P
And that's that!
Complicated? XD Ako rin medyo na-nosebleed at nangati utak ko sa english eh..pero ok na..para sosyal.. ='P

Reminders! You guys must take note of this..I repeat...Take NOTE!
For avatars:
It will be better if your avatar size will be 100 x 100 pixels. That way, the image won't be cropped too much, leading to ugly avies.
For signatures:
The signatures must NOT exceed the width of 400 pixels. Preferrably if it's only 200 in height. Why? It takes too much time to load [especially for dial-up users] if the signatures are too big.
And most importantly, it messes up the layout.
I hope you guys follow these simple things. ^^;
If you don't like these rules, well, sorry. You can't have everything, now can you? =P
Those who don't follow, I'm sorry but I have to give you a +1 on the karma scale. If you reach 5, you'll be banned from the forums for 5 days. :3
